they outright state it's the strongest dragon pokemon.
Of course we haven't seen its potential yet, though I'm sure it will get a mega evolution with BW2 remakes in 10 years or so.

BL confirmed? Unless it gets some OP ability.
I doubt they'll drop the ice types since half of its movepool is made of ice moves and it doesn't have much diversity.

That stat distribution seems perfect for a potential Mega Kyurem (+100 BST, mirrors Kyu-B and Kyu-W's stats), assuming that's how it's going to turn into the original dragon.
This also means that as a mega evolution, Kyu-B and Kyu-W wouldn't be outright outclassed either.

Of course this makes so much sense for GF, so they'll probably screw up in a way or another.

95 is good in Ubers. It's a significantly slower meta than standard. Any Dragon type with 170/170/95 offenses would tear shit up.

Kyurem-W is a top-tier Uber

The only reason Kyurem-B is bad for a cover legend is because all of Kyurem's good attacking moves are special. Keep in mind that Kyurem-B is still like a top 15 OU mon, an that mega would be like 10 times better than him.

It likely wouldn't even get a shot in OU, it'd just be put in Ubers immediately for the same reason Kyurem-W is: being one of the most devastatingly powerful special attackers in the entire game.

Kyurem-B was massively underrated in BW.
At least towards the end people finally realized that thing was a monster and the only reason it wasn't suspected was because they ran out of time.
If it had a good physical ice STAB like Ice Shard or Ice Punch (which can't learn via tutor becuse Trollfreak sucks) it would have been uber no question.

With Pokebank coming soon there is still hope Kyurem gets a movepool upgrade.

They gave Weavile Icicle Crash in XY, so hopefully Kyurem gets it too.

What type would the original dragon be? Bear in mind Reshiram is Fire, Zekrom is Electric and Kyurem is Ice. Would it be mono Dragon? Possibly crossed with Fairy-type?

Either they keep dragon/ice because Kyurem's movepool is mostly made of ice moves or they make it mono-dragon and give it an ability that boosts ice, fire and electric moves (Tri-Aura or something).

Because goodra did not try to be 'magnificent' right from the start. Its evolution line was more logical, thematically and artistically cohesive than Dragonite's.
