pretty much this. I used to try to do it by type, but that got way to annoying, plus types aren't evenly spread, and dual types would screw with me.

Now I have a 4-5IV M, 4-5IVF box, a Legendaries, a box for my 'travel' pokes (HM, assorted Synchro natures, the team I use to clear Le Wow, etc.) and a box or two to save rejects, everything else is just a clutter.

Box 12-27 - random stuff

No, unfortunately you have not. Up until B/W anyway this is what I did.

Since B2/W2 onward I have organised my boxes by the regional dex instead, and then placed the non-regional Pokes in numerical order after that.

I also save the very last box for HM slaves, trades and unevolved Pokemon who's evolution is already filling a spot.

Perhaps I didnt make myself clear enough, in my Black I have a full boxdex, and I mean literally all evolutions of everything in national dex order. I'm aiming for the same in my Y as well, got it done for the Kalos pokemon but thats it so far

A lot of the boxes have massive empty spaces until I can transfer over things with pokebank and the last 3 hidden pokemon are released. For now though I have everything in order.

That's what I've done in X. I've got one of every currently obtainable mon in numbered order with gaps for PokeBank mons. Then a box for every currently obtainable Vivillion.

But that makes no sense if you're going to be breeding a lot. Typically pokes of a similar type are usually in the same egg group, meaning you don't have to search all your boxes for something to breed with. Instead it's right there.

29-30: Eevees

I go by generation. Often I have to move things about, but in B2 and X i've got like "GEN 1-1, GEN 1-2, GEN 2-1, GEN 2-2" etc. On top of that, I've got Legendaries, Shine get, Teams in rotation, DWFs and DWMs, and the rest of the boxes are NFEs and extras to trade.

I used to organize by type, but now I let general pokemon just inhabit all kinds of bullshit box space.

That being said, Box 1 is used for my team and any accessory Pokemon I might use (Flame Body Pokemon, special HM Pokemon, catching Pokemon, etc.), as well as any Pokemon that have yet to be properly sorted.

Box 2 is used for fully trained Pokemon, and so on until I don't have any more, at which point randomly caught Pokemon start appearing.

The final Box is used for Legendaries, and then moving backwards from there, Dittos, a Future Breeding Project Box, and then individual boxes for breeding projects where I store decent leftovers to give away (3 IV and below are wonder traded).
