I work with the localization for the new Pokemon games, and I can leak some info here.
>The title of the games is called Gold version and Silver version
>The starters names are Chikorita, Totodile, and Cyndaquil and are Grass, Water, and Fire respectively
>The regional bird is an Owl that is Normal/Flying
>This game will introduce two new typed: Dark and Steel
>The professor is called Professor Elm and studies these new types
>One gym will be Steel type and one Elite Four member will have Dark type Pokemon
>Eevee has two more evolutions, one Dark and one Psychic
>To evolve Eevee, you level up depending on the time of day with the new clock feature
>Several Pokemon will have a previous "baby" form to go with the new Day Care feature which allows you to breed Pokemon
>Pikachu has a baby form, which is pure electric
>the "Pikablu" is a pure water type and evolves at level 18
>Team Rocket returns and tries to achieve what they did in Kanto (the region from Red and Blue)
>After beating the game, you can go to Kanto and fight all the gym leaders from the original games, as well as fighting someone named "Red"
