Guys, I'm bummed.
I started playing this emerald randomizer that totally changes the stats, species, learnset, typing, and color palette of wild pokemon.
I just encountered a shiny Exeggutor in the petalburg woods, bouncing star particle animation and all. Apparently the shiny pokemon palette doesn't change. I caught it.
It's worth noting that this is the first and only shiny pokemon I've ever caught, the other occasions I've found shinies is in the safari zone. It still doesn't feel like a real shiny. Please post stories of missed shiny-catching opportunities to make me feel better.
