Lewa Mata and Nuva are actually Physical attackers. Only when they become AA Lewa can you use Special moves, and even then it favors mixed sets
And since you're using Nuva, you might as well give it an Eviolite

I'm done.

I bred the PERFECT Av-Matoran, IV's, EV's, Nature, egg Swords Dance and everything...

But I've tried everything and I honestly cannot get it to evolve into a Toa of Light. It's level 86 now with full happiness and I've tried every stone, but nothing.

BS01 is completely unhelpful. Any pointers anyone?

It seems you have a solid moveset there anon. It just needs a different ability. I think it also has access to Moxie and Tough Claws so give either of those a chance. As for the item, give it an Expert Mask or an Essence of Makuta, since Antroz already has decent Special Defense

Takadox. Fast but frail but his Attack and Special Attack are so high they more than make up for it. Pridak with Super Luck and Moxie Mantax are also pretty good
Nocturn is okay but it lacks any Physical moves for its Light-Typing, so it's hit and miss

Stab Drain Punch and Phantom force offers amazing coverage, can break barriers, and thanks to Kraahkan you don't have to Phantom Force becomes a one-turn move.

I know his low special defense and typing leaves him vulnerable against special sweepers packing fairy, psychic, and ghost moves, but sucker punch covers the latter and the former rarely pack pursuit. I just think one-turn phantom force is too good to pass on.

The Kardas Dragon was cool, but I always disliked that it overshadowed Fenrakk in the story.

Like, for months people were excited for Fenrakk, and then it barely did anything before Vezon transformed it. Then again, around that time, the main fights in each arc were anti-climax anyways.

It's just too bad that Kardas isn't viable in a format where ice-types can be found in every team.

Like compare Takadox to Carapar. Carapar felt like a solid canister set, and Takadox felt light and cheap.

I think that anon was referring to the big stock "THIS IS A GUN/HAND/ARM/FOOT" parts that started to show up around the Vakhi era.

I remember noticing the bigger sets were getting super lazy. It used to be very very rare that you'd see those black "x" rods stick out at all, and it became almost standard, even starting around the metru era. Just seemed a bit less "what can we do with this toa foot" and more "ehh, let's just mould a new part for it."

Mata Nui had based mystery. I liked the natural feel of Mata nui a lot more than Metru nui's. It feels like there's more to explore when the land is left untouched.

They decided that they were going to kill bionicle before HF ever came out, they didn't get rid of their most popular franchise right after star wars to pave the way for something more boring. I'm the gen 123 masterrace who was complaining about the new stuff earlier. Mata Nui was an absolute enigma. Autonomous Machines in some kind of polynesian tribal society involving magic masks and literally a infectious voodoo over animals. The mnog, those little discs you got in each canister. But the masks. It was all about the masks.

If you've ever played Myst, it felt like that. The city made it feel more standard "robots in metropolis", and then everything was kind of explained in copouts. It lost it's aesthetic entirely (as well as its quality).

Pretty much my feelings exactly. I think BIONICLE made 3 big mistakes:

1. Progressively making collectibles worse until there was nothing left to collect.
2. Getting rid of functions and gears.
3. Explaining everything.

It's funny. It could have been better. There was a game scheduled to come out that involved collecting all the masks as a toa and utilizing them, and there was certainly a small craze around that time (on the cusp of gold and silver).

It really could have been a serial of "shit the Toa have to put up with to protect the Tohunga". I mean, the Bohrok arc had nothing to do with Makuta outright. It was just another mysterious source of plot that still felt crazy exciting.

The Maori Lawsuit didn't help much either. Perhaps thats why they had to sort out a distancing of the aesthetic.

Bohroks were cool too.

Aside from the thread-related jokes, are they still producing bionicles? I loved them, especially bohroks since they could coil into a ball. I have Makuta too and one or two of the things with the spikes on their back and a worm-like krana inside, I don't remember their names.
