Also, not sure if it's just me, but do the movies seem like the animation leap is near non-existent in Gen 5 between the anime and the movies?
I mean, the early ones were pretty big, but animation kinda exploded around that time too with computers, but even so, gen 3 and 4 movies felt different in some fundamental ways (shadows effects, scope, that kind of stuff).
I watch the Gen 5 movies, and I feel like they're more like anime specials more than anything.
Hope the gap comes back in the X and Y movies. Gave them more atmosphere.
