Not him, but the optimal EV spread is max HP, 128 on both Def and SpD, and +SpD -SpA. Alternative movesets that I personally prefer are taunt/recover/toxic/foul play. It's especially effective against atk boosters like that weavile in his replay.

I'm personally fond of Taunt/Trick/Will-O-Wisp/Recover on my little buddy.

If you're planning on wisping you really don't have to worry about defense, and can put it all into HP and Special Defense.

i prefer calm 252 hp/4 def/252 sdef because pretty much all sableyes run wow, so there's no reason to boost his defense as most strong hits you'll be taking will be special (not to mention his stats are pretty lacklustre as is). of course don't put him up against stuff like +2 mkanga and you'll do fine

i have an adament technician scizor. that knows bullet punch, vacuum wave, night slash, and u-turn. it's also fully EV trained in attack and speed. this scizor can be yours. all im asking for is the mega stone for aggron. please help me out.

i like calm because i run wow/taunt/recover/foul play so i don't need atk. if your sableye has knock off i suppose careful would be the best option, though i'm not sure if the extra damage is worth taking more damage from confusion and foul play

What about any of that sounds bad? You can always switch out. Tricking a lagging tail or iron ball onto a sweeper works wonders.

Use trick with choice band.

This allows sableye to fuck with special attackers as well, and since you have wow to fuck with physical attackers, you can still use it to cripple those too in a pinch.

What would you use instead out of curiosity? Because Sableye's attack is pretty low so situational moves like that seem like they'd be good

Foul play does indeed not calculate the opponents atk drop if they are burned. It does however drop the atk if you are burned.

Fire types in general. Any special mon that can 2HKO it. Magic Bounce.

Last gen UU I had the most trouble with stuff like Arcanine, Darmanitan, Victini, Nidoking, etc.

The CONCEPT of those is god-tier.

Sableye is the Hopkinsville Goblin, it evolving into the Flatwoods Monster (which is bizarrely fucking huge in Japan) would be fantastic.

Now here me out, I also think Sableye and/or its evo should be Dark/Fairy.
