Maybe but he faces a lot of competition in standard from Gastrodon and if Quagsire is UU like I expect it will be, then it will have a hard time there as well since they both boast better abilities and access to recovery. I could see rest-talk sets being pretty good though, as his arguably has better stats than Gastrodon and Quagsire. We'll have to wait and see I guess

Which wouldn't really be that surprising, seeing as plenty of other mons are getting Egg Move buffs.

Freeze-Dry hits x4 damage against all the water / type-weak against Ice.

That includes Swampert, Kingdra, Gyarados, Ludicolo and all the other Mons that share type with one of those.
