Stop with the textwall shit, this is a discussion, not a Smogon article. Reply to points instead of writing a fucking essay every time.
>If Raticate were as much of an exception to the regional rodent rule as you insist it is, it would surely have been mentioned as a significant threat in whatever tier (or sub-tier) it found itself in. Unless no one made good use of it. Tier list is popularity and not much else.
>My point is that if something cannot make an impression among trash... then it's probably where it belongsWhich would only be a point if you consider the opinions of the people in those threads complete and infallible.
>Did that clarify what I was trying to say?I know what you're TRYING to say, but what you're trying to say is stupid.
Let me go over this as simply as I can, so that you understand.
Say you want a hard-hitting physical normal type, more specifically, you've decided on Guts/Facade.
Now, if you want a total wall buster, Guts Ursaring is your best choice.
If you need something a little faster, but still want to do shitloads of damage, you can trade off some bulk and survivability for Zangoose, who also gets quick attack.
If you need someone REALLY fast, you can go with Swellow, who is weaker, but also gets STAB BB. Swellow also has U-turn for scouting and roost if you get the chance to use it. You also have to deal with recoil and rocks weakness.
Raticate is faster than Zangoose, and can scout like Swellow without being rock-weak or, at the cost of a bit more power.
Different options to suit different needs. That's really all there is to it.
