It's believed to be 1/819 this gen, which would be around 1/28 boxes. Of course, it's all luck, so you could theoretically hatch 5 shinies in a row and it would still be within the realm of possibility.

haha no. they didn't multiply the shiny rate by 10. i would have already encountered at least a dozen shiny pokemon.

Well, it's assuming the OP is using MM. The actual shiny rate is 1/4096, it was halved.
