Ehhh Thick Fat provides arguably better balk than the 30 more SDef Eviolite Venusaur would have, and with better attack stats. The only time Eviosaur would be better would be on a sun team thanks to Chlorophyll.

No Mega Eviolite here, bro. The (hypothetical) point is that any Pokemon with a Mega Evolution is now NFE because their Mega is considered the full evolution. You get the option of the mega stone or eviolite, not both.

Yes, I realize. Sorry if I was unclear. Giving those Pokemon the ability to use the Eviolite (which I called "Mega Eviolite" to distinguish itself from the current item) would still be hideously broken. Tyranitar already had Lugia-level bulk in Sand, for instance. And Gyarados is a fearsome tank with Intimidate. Not to mention that all four can abuse a boosting move, with the Eviolite giving them an extra turn to strengthen themselves before they kill everything.
