jirachi had a HGSS wifi event and has lots of IRL japan events
mew had a HGSS wifi event and you can get one from pokemon ranch
deoxys had a BW wifi event + others
would it be manaphy?

True, the event was only distributed in nippon land but it wasn't region coded and still worked if you happened to be there in July 2005 like me
Unfortunately, I didn't soft reset for a shiny (was 11 at the time) but I do have a fair few pieces of memorabilia, my aeroplane ticket, the sea chart and the mew to both prove that I was in the area and attended the festa in Odaiba and that it is possible that a legit shiny non-jap faraway mew could be out there.
Not SRing is possibly the biggest regret of my life.

Eh, I have a Timid and Calm one for smogon babby movesets. By rthe way, since I can tell you don't know how to RNG abuse but your mind is somewhat open about how data works in Pokemon. Soft resetting in 3rd gen is like playing the lottery that you will never win if your internal battery is dead. Not to mention if your TID isn't RNG'd your Shiny will probably be assballs anyway.

Eh, no. A warp code or even WZW technically isn't hacking because it isn't editing any of the in-game values like actually hacking in the ticket. Not that I really care because I pretty much do anything to get what I want in Pogeymans or real life (muh edge) but you know, formalities. Yes. Pretty much anyone who SR's for a Shiny in general has been grinding it for several hundred hours. In Gen 3 it may be impossible to hit a shiny just due to the fact in how the seeding works.
