Is this the standard competitive set with scolipede?

I'm assuming you're supposed to use the dual setup opportunities to try and bait the opponent into letting one of the two pass, and then either attempt a sweep, or BP it onto an appropriate recipient?

I'm playing poison in that gym leader tourney, and Ive been agonizing over how to use scolipede, or if I should.

Scolipede is good but most people expect it as a baton passer now.

I usually run Protect/BP/SD/EQ with Focus Sash. For a while I had Iron Defense on it because BPing IDs is kinda funny but that left me without any attacking moves.
I'd think Sub/SD/EQ/MHorn would be good as a straight up sweeper since pede is surprisingly bulky.
