Mega Gengar was up first because of how it performed at high levels of skill (aka, people who treated it like a trapper instead of a basic special sweeper).
Mega Kanga was banned because its counters were extremely specific and over-centralizing.
Mega Lucario is suspect, but I actually don't think it's gonna get banned. Oh, Mega Lucario is a fucking monster, but at least he can be countered by stuff people would be bringing onto their teams normally anyway.
After Lucario? I think they'd be done with the megas. Stuff like Mega Scizor and Mega Alakazam are at best side-grades to their base forms, while others like Mega Gardevoir, Mega Mawile, Mega Absol and Mega Aerodactyl are either fine or possibly even going into UU.
(well, okay, Aerodactyl is basically guaranteed to go to UU, if even that)
