I tried my hand at the Rainbow serpent / Rainbow snake legendary. I based the design on one of the more liked designs of the Rainbow snake. Like how
>>16782310 suggested, tried giving it arms to make it look more "varied", hopefully straying away from Quetzar and Royjibiv. Though I know the traditional snake body type is frowned upon, but trying out making it long/thin , flat, giving it a lump - I couldn't find anything that worked well. I don't think having a literal Rainbow Snake with every single color of the Rainbow would be a good idea, sticking with 4 - 6 different colors maximum seems reasonable (like most Pokemon).
A. The basic lineart - anyone can fix or color it if they want. Before anyone asks "why the tail flame?" I honestly can't give a straight forward answer. I couldn't draw anything on the tail without it looking forced or similar to Rayquaza
so I just stuck with the tail on the original design B. The bare bones. No chest patterns and a straight forward tail. Extra two spikes on the side of the head - I'm not sure if it looked good or not.
C. Main design, color scheme of the original
D. A more saturated version
E. Using one of the original's varying color schemes. The "Air/Sky" themed color pallette.
F. Just another color variation
G and H: Very similar to each other. The closest thing to a literal Rainbow snake with the chest area being the primary colors.
