the japanese metagame is pretty gay. one thing i've learned from playing various competitive video games is that the japanese are terrible. they work obsessively to hone their technical skills but have no basic instincts. fighting japanese players is always like fighting a really good computer ai. if you can predict well you will play them like a fiddle.
