Mario Kart for the old DS is $30 at most places.

I think HG/SS are still that high because the Pokewalker. It cost more then B/W.

What the fuck does that even mean to a pokemon game.
Just look at the old and new games, both had extremely shitty level scaling and extremely tiny regions.

They did fix the Kanto Gym Leaders so that they aren't complete pushovers like in the original

They also brought back some areas that were previously absent in the originals, plus it has a safari zone which the originals didn't have.

As far as why HG/SS are so expensive, I believe it's because those are no longer in production, thus making them more rare.

You'd have better luck just buying a new one at Wal-mart rather than just buying it used.
