I really want to see if I can try to make a Protean Kecleon work, but I honestly don't know where to start. Can I get some help here? He always gets overshadowed by muh Smogonfrog.

Anyone have any sets? Natures? Items? What do I EV train it in?

Kecleon has a more wider movepool than Greninja so the opportunities are endless:

Trick room/Thunder Wave , Drain Punch (Gen V Only) , Shadow Claw.

Ghost + Fighting give you good coverage on attack. Last move is depend on what do you want him to do. Sucker Punch for Revenge kill, Recover for staying power.

Just remember that he is not a sweeper and more like a support with sp.def bulk.

1.- Stop using the word "Smogon" in a pokemon's name to seem funny.
2.- Put EVs in HP and Attack if you want to go offensive. Kecleon has an amazing movepool where you can choose from.

How does Pokebank allow that?
Protean is hidden ability so you can't change it with an Ability Capsule. And Drain punch was a tutor move so it's not like bringing over a Kecleon with drain punch from Gen 5 will help

Pokebank opens, teach a Kec Drain Punch in BW2, bank it over to X/Y, get it to fuck a Kecleon with Protean, wham-bam twenty boxes later you got a Protean Kec with Drain Punch.

I think I got it.

What if we teach a Gen V Dream World Kecleon Drain Punch in BW2 and then Pokebank it to Gen VI? Would the game recognize that it's a Dream World Kecleon and change its ability to its hidden one?

It sounds pretty stupid, but this is Game Freak we're talking about.

Works fairy well, geting 2 PowerPunches and then you can basicly sweep with SuckerPunch. Coverage of ghost and dark seems redundant, but it works to hit something with priority if they're not attacking. Good counter for Alakazam, Gengar, and anything that runs HighJump kick as >>16775166
