Previous thread HERE
>>>>16742490 1. You have a team of 6 pokemon, but the actual battle is 3v3. Finals will be 4v4.
2. Pokemon on your team must all share a chosen type. Your type will be made public. Megas that change type are valid for ALL possible type teams.
3. Flat rules. So no special pokemon
4. Matches are best out of 3 battles. Substitutions are limited to your team of 6, but are allowed.
5. Be as assholish and dastardly as you want to be. There are no bans on any pokemon or moves, aside from the legendaries, as per flat rules.
6. Disconnects will count as draws, unless the players decide to redo that particular battle. Having a record of repeated disconnects may result in a disqualification.
7. Unplayed rounds count as a loss. More rules on this forthcoming
8. Mons obtainable in gen 6 only. This shouldn't actually be an issue though, as everyone should have their teams assembled before pokebank is up and running.
9. NO SIMULATORS! Let's do this all through the 3DS and then post up the battle videos for everyone to watch!
10. There are no prizes. If you hack to predict moves, all you're doing is cheating yourself out of any sort of real victory here. This is for fun.
There are the rules, buddies. It's all single battles. Applications has CLOSED. I am compiling pairings AS WE SPEAK!
Tomorrow, at around 5PM, a Google Doc with the first 2 round's worth of pairings will go up. Instructions on how to report your team composition and report victories will be included in the document. Spectators will be encouraged, as we're hoping to put up tons of Battle Recorder videos.
THE TIME HAS COME, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN.

Actias 5300 9493 0648 [Pidgey/Hoothoot/Tropius] {1808} Fri 20 Dec 2013 12:25:14 No. 16785441 Report Has it been announced what the rules are for team modifications? The rules simply say "substitutions are limited, but allowed" It would make sense that we could switch attached items between matches. A surprise focus sash that helped win round 1 is going to be less helpful round 2 if the opponent knows exactly what to expect. I understand the need to keep a consistent fixed 6 pokemon, though. Some types (looking at you, fairy) have a very limited selection while something like water can choose freely. It would be too much of an advantage to simply pick out the 6 best waters per round based on the opponents type. It would also be against the spirit of a "gym leader" where the teams are relatively fixed. I could also see the desire for a lot of people to want to change movepools between rounds, especially if they are in the losers bracket after the first round. Also, anyone up for a match real quick?

>>16785441 No. It says that "Substitutions are limited to your team of 6"
Meaning that you can change your lineup of 3 between battles in a match with someone. But that your team of 6 is fixed. The 6 you go in with will last you the whole tourney.
It's pretty self-explanatory.

Got my team decked out with moves, leveling up the last couple to 50. Also, to those who say Le Wow doesn't pay back the money you spend: they give you those mushrooms for a reason. As long as you don't battle horribly (I use rotation battles, so two can just sit while one does the work), you should get enough 'shrooms to sell and earn back as much as, if not more than, you spent. I also stuck an Amulet Coin on the lead Pokemon I use to actually do the battling.
