>>16783238Well, I honestly don't really watch a whole lot of anime that much anymore because I've been more absorbed in drawing personal stuff lately, but Otakon is fun even in the sense of socializing/networking with other nerdy/geeky types of people. Conventions are nice because with the right collection of people, you have a very positive and tight knit community like feeling, since you're all comfortable knowing that everybody there is into something similar to you to some extent.
TL;DR I think you'll have a blast if you go, enjoy the fuck out of it. IMO first con experiences are the best ones.
As for pictures of my setups, I don't, but my friend might... She's sleeping, though, haha. The only stress I have is drawing lots and lots of things pre-con because I'm an intense procrastinator. Me doing this stuff with 2 weeks to spare is crazy for me. I even have an extra 1K buttons that already arrived a week or two ago in the mail so that I would be prepared, equipment-wise.
I've honestly sort of avoided /cg/ because from hear-say and mild personal experience, they seem very dramatic and catty over there. Maybe I just got a poor first impression, but mmm... Skeptical.
>>16783258Oh? You're going to MAGfest? :D Will this be your first time? I hope you enjoy yourself! :) I'm likely going to be behind my table most of the time and sleeping maybe 2 hours or 3 hours a night. I have trouble leaving the businessman mindset at cons because I need to make sure I break even or do better than that by being available and attentive to my booth.
>>16783289I honestly want to go back to Animal Crossing, but I *know* somebody has moved, and to be honest, I just couldn't cope with the thought of it. I get way too emotionally invested in my town. It's awful.
