Been trying to breed farfetch'd for hexaflawless seven for the best part of today with this set up, and I'm still yet to get a 6iv male. Am I doing something wrong here?

No, they don't - they just guarantee that one of the five IVs passed down to the child is that particular IV from that parent.

OP, your set-up is good, you just have to wait until the RNG generates the last IV for you as 31, because you can't pass down 6. Keep trying, and good luck!

Yeah, this. Destiny knot only passes down 5 IV's. The last one is generated. And are power items really compatible with Destiny knot?

Yep! But then it only passes down 4 random IVs, because the one is guaranteed. Pretty sure it's been like that since they've been introduced, but I'm not sure.

yes they are. With power items you can choose one of the 5 "fatum values". to 4 are choosen randomly by rng.

Well right now I am doing the same with like OP. (but with a male 6IV).
The offspring always has 5IV (no new 6IV to this point).
Since I have about 45 Eevees like that, I asume the items do not overlap.

Nope! No matter what OP you're only going to be able to pass down 5 IVs. Since you're guaranteeing that you're passing down the one IV that your ditto doesn't have at 31 from the mother, you should always be getting pentaperfect eggs, you just have to hope that the RNG generates your last IV as 31, and that it's on a male.
