I have a question about breeding and wifi general didnt help me.
I'm trying to breed a perfect iv pokemon.Father has att/def/speed perfect iv.And it is holding destiny knot.Female has sp att/sp def perfect ivs.And it is holding everstone.How can i pass all 5 perfect ivs to the newborns?And after that how do I apply hp perfect iv?I have a ditto with perfect hp.

Yeah I know that but i hatched a few eggs but most of them has 2-3 perfect ivs.How can I pass all 5 perfect ivs?

Destiny knot ensures 5 ivs are passed down from parents, and only one is randomly generated. RNG determines which IVs are passed though.

why would you want 6 iv? leave either atk or spa depending on the pokemon...

Planning this out for yourself and then effectively being able to breed countless perfect pokemon might go better if you understand how IV's are determined uppon a newbreed:

>1st the IV's are randomized for each newborn
>2nd at random 1 of the values of each of the parents are passed down
>exception 1: If one of said parents hold destiny knot theres a good chance that 5 random values get passed down
>exception 2: If one of the parent uses a power item that corresponds to one of its maxed stats theres a 100% chance that that specific stat will be maxed on the newborn

Using destinyknot.tk you can get a mindset and a mental aid to how long it might take to get what IV's you want. It'll also show you additional chances for getting breeds with lower IV's

When you're busy with your first effort on getting a perfect pokemon you might get a difficult experience out of it. But once you get your first one, and it's male, you may be able to use it to breed more perfect pokemon. Just keep an eye on those egg groups.

You can do that. What I always do is first go for the IV's and then get the nature on it. Meaning the parents have destiny knot and a power item for the stat I want.
Then when you got what you want (prefferably female 5IV) then get one of yer ditto and smack a nature on it with everstone

Ok,I have a sneasel with 5 perfect ivs now.All it needs is hp iv.I will give sneasel everstone.Then destiny knot to ditto(which has hp iv).Is this gonna work now?Sneasel is female.

thatll take a shitty long time to do. If you're really hell bent on getting a 6IV,the fastest way would be to give the 5IV the destiny knot and the ditto the power item for the stat that the 5IV is missing. this may cut your time spent to a couple hours to a couple days.

Or you spent months getting your 6 IV, your choice

Your setup is really inefficient because the destiny knot only chooses 5 random IV's to pass down. And it'll never choose any less or more. So giving the ditto the destiny knot and not the sneasel makes your chances for a 6 IV drop like cheap hookers

If you give the sneasel the destiny knot you may inherit the 5 maxed IV's, but to get the missing one from the ditto would be an eye of the needle chance. You'd be breeding for days to get the right natured 6 IV. So the fastest option would be to give the ditto the power weight and hope the nature will be right even in the slim chance you get the 6 IV

Once again, abandoning the everstone is the sacrifice you make for wanting a 6IV poke

So you really want that power weight on that ditto to get the guaranteed HP IV and then hope the destiny knot does its job right.

Also yes, destinyknot.tk doesn't take power items in account

Well,okey you make sense.Right now I have 5 perfect iv sneasel but it has sp. att instead of hp.I gave power item for hp(i cant remember the name) to the ditto.And destiny knot to the sneasel.Now I will try to get the right 5iv sneasel.Then I will give it destiny knot and an everstone to another ditto who has the nature I wanted.How are my chances now?

The chance of getting your desired 5IV with the help of the power item rises to 1 in 30 eggs

if you are able to then breed the 2 5IV sneasel together the chances of getting your right natured 5IV will rise to 1 in 10 eggs. Even without the help of the power item. Which is really fast.
