I did not rage, but I was shocked. I did not expect Legendary Trainer to be so literal. Honestly, though, if you still thought Ash was going to win at this point, you are only fooling yourself. Everyone knew Ash would lose to him. I agree it's an unfair way of doing so, but it also showed how far Ash had come up to that point. Defeating two legends in a row is no small feat.

Not the big bad type but just highly experienced that's hard to beat like Seto Kaiba

Yet he had no character so just fell flat

How would people feel if we saw more of him before hand and constantly beat Ash with Ash getting better as opposed to deus ex machina?

Come on, in the anime canon, legendary actually means something. He caught something rare as shit. He deserves the right to use it if he can.

That depends on how they are willing to stack Megas against Legends in the anime verse. Is one more powerful than the other? Are they equal? We'll probably find out. I doubt they will go on to the next tier of legends since they are so powerful that they should be flipping impossible for a human to use one, even with all this mega junk being thrown around.

If you could even do it, which I edoubt, you would have to first prove that the anime and merchandise does not require the presence of Ash to remain popular. You would also have to prove that replacing him would not cause tremendous backlash. You would have to provide research including input from Japanese audiences. It would also have to prove it would not affect children foremost. I doubt you have such data, let alone on Japanese people.

The worst part is that he was actually pretty competent in Sinnoh and came up with a decent strategy against Darkrai, but it was all for fucking nothing.

So even if Tobias managed to find god's gift of a Darkrai, and Ash had Timid little pussy of a Heracross, that STILL should have OHKO'd, or at the very least knocked the wind out of Darkrai. And if Tobias is being that much of a Smogon fag, he sure as hell didn't put the EVs in Defense and Hitpoints.

Ash actually watched Tobias' matches, found and picked a hard counter to Tobias' sleep abusing ass, and he STILL didn't get rewarded for it.

Regardless, it's still bullshit. There's no way that Megahorn didn't hurt Darkrai. If a Fire Blast hit Ash's Glalie and he didn't even break a sweat, even the naivest of kiddies would have thought "this is fucking bullshit." Just because Bug > Dark is not as evident doesn't make it less stupid.

Now while we are at it, how did you guys like Ash vs Paul. Hod did /vp/ react to it ? I think it was easily the best battle in pokemon anime, and a legendary using trainer like Tobias was the only way to rob Ash from his from his first championship after it.
