>>16790296This dumb chart is statistically accurate but tbh it's really shit.
There's 0 weight on STABs having overlapping SEs, it feels like 0 weight on STABs having shared resists (how Fighting/Ground is top when the two basically overlap the same strengths and weaknesses is proof of this enough), and nothing in terms of weighing hitting defensive types that are overall better being worth more to hit than types that have many weaknesses (hitting Ice SE is worth as much as hitting Steel SE).
Absolute for sure Fighting/Ground is not the best offensive type in the game. It's pretty trash considering everything that walls you. Water/Ground is the same thing. Fire/Flying is the first thing on that list that has legitimately decent coverage, and you go waaaaay down the list before you get to any decent Dragon combination (which are basically all the best offensive type combos in the entire game due to Dragon's insane neutral coverage vs the type chart).
I'm almost tempted to dig out the excel version of a similar thing I did like a year ago and update to fairy and make a respectable chart instead of having to see people argue using this dumb thing ever again.
