It's coverage mostly, and the fact that it gets a boost every time it switches in, turning it's already high offenses to a point where it's incredibly hard to switch into.
It also gets STAB U-turn, so it can also just U-turn as you switch to save your ass and gain momentum.

Why is Genesect so good to the point where everywhere I go people are calling for it to be banned?

I didn't play much of Gen V and only played non-Pokebank OU so I've got no clue on what it does.

Download works perfectly with its stats and typing. Every single set it runs is great. Scarf download uturns wrek everything and allows you to deal damage while switching to a counter. It has enough coverage options to handle pretty much everything. Its shift gear set is also amazing and will destroy you when you think it is the scarf set. Every team is better with genesect on it.
