There's lots of crazy, ridiculous theories flying around about X and Y, and in this thread we'll gather them all and get our ideas down. We've got a lot to investigate so let's get to it!
Some things to talk about:
>The Strange Souvenir (pic related)
It's an item you get from a backpacker that you talk to in various hotels throughout the game. If you talk to him enough over a couple days real time, he'll give you an item that depicts a pokemon from another region.
>Backwards Waterfall
In Couriway Hotel, an older lady NPC talks about a waterfall that runs backwards somewhere
>Parfum Palace
An NPC says that the King made rules about what time of day to visit the garden of the palace, the statues of zekrom and reshiram and 'a connection to unova' seem to imply that the garden has more significance than just hunting down a furfrou.
> Creepy Story House
There's a guy in a creepy house on Route 14 (Laverre Nature Trail) who tells you a story about a "horde of faceless men" and asks for you to tip afterwards, claiming something terrible will happen to you if you don't. The effect of tipping here (as with the effects of tipping in general) are unconfirmed.
There's a lot more to X and Y than just these, feel free to bring them up in here and discuss them
