As you said with Breloom, even things with meager Speed could still utilize priority just fine. Stands to say that with some investment these ridiculous things could still use their priority spam tactics, just with less power/bulk, and could still be stopped by speed boosters.
>DefensesI realize that overall bulk is a joint effort between defense and HP, however, I was making a note that physical defense generally goes higher, and it's far easier to reduce Attack than it is to reduce Special Attack.
I never said Toxic would reduce SAtk, just Poison.
Special attackers have always had reliable moves like Flamethrower/Thunderbolt/Ice Beam. Crippling drops have always been on physical attacks as well (Close Combat, Superpower, every recoil damage attack).
