Ash meets his dad, who is actually Tobias. Flash-forward to 10 years later. Ash is competing in the World Tournament and in the Quarterfinals, he fights against Misty, who is a premier water-type trainer who finished 4th last year. After some backstory, ash defetas her and sees that, on the television, Dawn and May are competing against each other in the semifinals of the World Contest. More backstory. Cut to Ash in the semi's. He's fighting against Gary Oak. Cue Ash looking up and seeing Brock in the stands alongside Iris, Dawn, May, Max, Cilan, Serena, Bonnie, Clemont etc. Ash smiles as he sends out his pikachu as his last pokemon against Gary's Blastoise. Ash wins, and goes to the finals where he faces his father. After a neck and neck battle, Ash sends out his final mon, a raichu, as he reveals that Pikachu was finally comfortable with evolving. Raichu wins and Ash, being the victor of the world tournament, is finally proclaimed a Pokemon master. Credits roll. After the credits, it shows all the trainers settling down. the last shot is of a pair of unknown little kids racing to get their starters.
