You can bike in the Safari too, but yeah, the constant encounters will give the impression that eggs are hatching slower. But in theory, your odds of getting the shiny would be higher I guess.

I'm still hunting, though possibly not for long, at least until I've slept some.

Stupid Friend Safaris don't like giving me shinies it seems. I've had to have spent about 30 hours total hunting in them.

This is a test to see if something will show up after I nag about it. My luck tends to turn out that way.

HA is rarer if the owner's offline, but you can still get it. I've found a shiny Duosion w/ Regenerator before. The owner's offline throughout the hunt.

I tend to use Breloom, due to False Swipe and Spore being a powerful duo for shiny catching, but Aegislash has got interesting immunities.

I'm waiting for that special move the promotion Celebi has got, as it can be another interesting option for shiny catching (be it on Celebi or on Smeargle). Informations about said move ?

I use Aegislash and Heliolisk for captures, makes running easier too.

However, I also have a Mawile trained since it's the only false swiper immune to Dragon Tail.

People were asking if we could extend the Shiny Hunt Weekend for Christmas, which was a great idea until I realized Christmas is on a damn Wednesday. I use the "deposit" function and release with that. If you select the second party member then the rest will slide into the second slot and you don't even have to move your cursor.

I have a question for all of you. Its much too late to order gifts and I had no Idea what my little brother wanted for Christmas. I got extremely lucky when I snagged a shiny eevee from gts. Best part, its not instachecked! I'm going to give him the shiny eevee for christmas along with some good Iv'd pokemon so he can start breeding.

Well, I'm going to try and organize it later, try and see what the best time is for everyone. People have been asking for an "Extended Weekend" during the Christmas period, which is slightly problematic because Christmas is about as far from the Weekend as it could possibly be this year (Wednesday).

During this, we are hoping to get Jasher to stream some Christmas movies, and I was going to do a small giveaway.

Not 100% certain on the details of the giveaway. It is happening, I'm just working out how to do it fairly. In short, for the past month, I've been gathering a bunch of shinies from the Friend Safari with the sole intention of giving them out here. A couple of people said they were going to get a couple to give out too which is cool.

I have nowhere near enough for everybody, so the plan is to do it like some sort of raffle. Possibly take down the friend codes of anybody who wants a shot at a free shiny, and use Random.org to select the winners or something.

I personally have about 10 to give out, although I am keeping two or three set aside for some close friends.

How I'm THINKING the Extended Weekend could go is either Christmas, or the Thursday after, until Monday or Tuesday. Depends how "extended" people actually want this to be, but that an additional 2-4 days.

The giveaway isn't happening until at least Saturday, because Bank will actually give me access to two other shinies I can give out.

Umm, I THINK that's all the details I have for it at the moment.

I'd go with Modest. Slurpuffs need Sp attack and Impish lowers it. Cleric or Set up slurpuff is good as modest, not very good as impish, calm would be good
