I've managed to get two shinies by MMing this gen. The first being my Reuniclus (Jace Beleren) and the second, Azumarill (Buddha Belly) while I was just trying to breed out Belly-Jet Marills for trading. This gen has been good to me because I'd never bred a shiny before. Currently trying to MM a shiny Shinx.

I lucked out by answering a phone call from some contractor. It was completely random and I almost didn't bother. It ended up being for a really well known company, and once I had my foot in the door I was able to get hired full time. Perhaps that might be something worth looking in to.

After going through four shiny Krabbys, a shiny Wortortle and two Torrent Frogaiders, I've finally found my shiny Protean Frogaider! I nicknamed it Kaeguri which means frog in Korean since I couldn't think of an original nickname. (it was either that or Frogue) I'm so happy right now!

With the Charmander, I adopted a slightly different strategy. I just released all of the males or females with the wrong ability. It took a while, but I got three 5IVs out of a batch of 12 females with the correct ability. The parents were 5IV/4IV. A batch of 6 might have decent odds.
