That 'Autism' commercial really pisses me off.
'Maybe it's just a phase.'
'Maybe he's just being a boy.' (sexist indoctrination)
'Maybe he's just really focused.'
Autism is a blessing; it's scientifically proven that people with autism are over 5x more focused and far more intelligent than normal human beings. The fact that they play this commercial with a generally depressive tune is a subtle jab at those with autism. I mean, to those ~with~ autism, that commercial is a essentially saying that, 'You are not supposed to be that way. A normal person is not what you are; for you are an irregularity, and it is something to be pitied as evident by this sad music playing in the background.' Even though I am not autistic, this is a very offensive commercial to me and I hate the people who thought it was a good idea to air. I'd wager money that they were a self indulged, self righteous bigot, like most of humanity. They, whomever wrote it, had the gall to label autism as a defective characteristic, despite, as I mentioned, the fact that some of the most famous people to exist 'suffered' from it e.g. Ken Sugimori a.k.a. the CREATOR of Pokemon. When are people going to learn that there are strengths AND weaknesses to everyone... oh, but far be it from me to tell ~you~ your own perceived faults. So I say:
