You did say the gang was shit, and you said they were just like previous groups, yet you haven't even watched it and you're judging it based on bandwagoning.
Right now the story is focused on Ash and Clemont's battle for the 5th gym badge when they make it back to Lumiose City, and the past few episodes of Clemont being brave and being inspired by Ash's bravery were foreshadowing to the episode where he put his bravery to the test to win back his gym.
Watch the fucking show instead of asking for examples. Just because the previous saga was ass, doesn't mean this saga will be, if you actually took some time to watch a few episodes maybe you wouldn't be such a faggot.
