Mono-ice has the same chances of succeding or failing as any other mono-type team in OU.
I don't get why people are so obsessed with "muh resistances" when a pokemon is defined by stats, movepool and abilities, not just type.

Please. Avalugg walls Smogonbird all day long and if it tries to stat-up it's getting Roared out, only to lose 50% on the next switch-in.
Ice types have far worse concerns in OU than that thing.

I want to try Avalugg as a wall though. I keep seeing people who want Mirror Coat on their Avalugg though. I don't think I understand why people want it, isn't his special defense too shitty to really get anything out of it? Or is his HP supposed to be high enough to shrug off a hit from a special attack and come back with a Mirror Coat?
