The Platinum sprites are actually good, like anon above said. These just have scrunched up faces and incorrect details

Its minisprite looked terrible. LIke half the face was maroon, it didn't even look like Rayquaza. The new XY minisprite looks much better though from the Pokebank trailers.

A lot of ruby and sapphires sprites were terrible. They weren't hilariously bad like rb, but they were just ugly and crude. It's like they didn't know how to use all the new tools and capabilities visually that came with the leap from game boy to gba.

Sigilyph looked fine, but it was a complete eyesore when animated.

Same goes for Druddigon. Holy fuck if there's one pokemon who benefits the most from the 3D its Druddigon.

It's not necissarily bad, it's just inaccurate. And was fixed in Crystal.

Speaking of Crystal it had the best animatons. Everything after that was just 2 frames + squash and stretch. Disgusting.
Also iirc there were a few extra frames in Crystal that you could only view from the status screeen, which I thought was pretty neat
