>>16846565It's actually not that bad. Delphox has a very shitty movepool, that's about it. It's stats are really good, but everyone expected it to be able to learn a ton of special-based attack because it's design is that of a mage.
Honestly, STAB Psychic and Fire attacks give pretty good coverage, and it learns Wil-O-Wisp which is always good.
It all boils down to it just not being as good/diverse as Chesnaught or Greninja. I mean, Greninja is fast as fuck, has above average Special Attack, and gets Protean as a Hidden Ability granting him STAB on any move he learns (his movepool is kind of limited as well, but STAB on everything negates that). Chespin is a defensive powerhouse with a pretty good HA in Bulletproof. He also has a support movepool out the ass.
Delphox is really just...well nothing very special compared to those two. But like I said earlier, it's a very good Pokemon in its own right.
