priority is removed. rather than work as it's own seperate mechanic a stage of priority acts as if the pokemon using the move had a stage of speed applied to it. if a pokemon with 50 base speed used a move with +1 priority like quick attack it would essentially have 75 speed. a pokemon with 80 speed would still go first. priority no longer negates speed but works off of it.

make ice resist water and ground
make grass resist fairy
make bug resist ghost

remove toxic as a tm so that poison pokemon have near exclusive usage of the move.

make rock pokemon absorb stealth rock.

The smogon tiers never prevented you from taking pokemon from NU into OU if you wanted to. Odds are its NU for a reason and wasn't very good, but it wasn't stopping you from doing it if you had a unique idea for it. In fact, that goes back to the balance issue that GF created to begin with. They limit you further in the VGC by cutting off the Pokebank. So if anything, Smogon allows you to use more strategies in competitive play than the VGC does.

I never said it was anything new. I just said it was limiting, just as it was in Black and White when those games first came out. Smogon allows you to use older Pokemon whenever you like when you play by their rules. So they're less restrictive. Their tiers allow you to take Pokemon from the lower ranks and use them in higher play if you wish. The only real restriction is you can't take things from higher tiers and bring them down. Smogon gives you more options than the VGC (currently). I'm sure next year they'll open the gate for more Pokemon to be in the VGC.

I'm sure by now they know that sites like smogon exists. All of 5 minutes of research would show how horribly balanced the game is. Hell, I could probably balance the entire game better than anyone at GF ever could with just 1-2 hours of tweaking numbers.

i feel like they're only looking at doubles even though singles is the more popular format, and singles is more popular because it's oldest and because literally the entirety of the game is 1v1

anyways i'm fine if they don't readjust types and BSTs if they add Mega to things that actually needed or wanted them

The problem is that almost all fairy types have the same general stat spread, and said spread isn't capable of dealing with dragons at all. Also the fact that seemingly random pokemon that contributed nothing got it.

Psychic type:
super effective against Steel

Steel type:
resists Ghost

Ice Type:
resist Water and Ground

Grass:
resist Fairy, neutral Ice

Bug:
neutral damage to fairy and ghost types

Weather:
Using a Weather move will reset the weather counter if the weather is on it's last two turns. If weather ends while an ability user is on the field, the ability will activate again.

Stealth Rock:
Does half the damage it does right now.
Spikes:
Two turns of lay-down, equivalent to it's 2nd and 3rd turn.
Rapid Spin now has 50 BP, wider distribution.

Take Brave Bird off of TalonFlame, but it can have Drill Peck in it's stead.

Also, give Audino 130 in all stats.
