I use different teams every time I battle.
I do like 5-10 battles then I switch teams, I'm sitting at more or less 1800-1700, depends if the team I'm using is effective or not.

I don't know what I do wrong. I seem to hover around 1270 or so. I run:

Spore Smeargle with sash, pebblez, sticky web, endeavor
Belly drum Azumarill
Scarf Chesnaught
Quiver dance Volcarona
Assault vest spinning Avalugg
Spooky sword

Generally I think this should be a good team, but I guess it doesn't ever work out for me

Around the 800~ area I found a guy who ran Substitute Blissey and triple Fang Salamence. They both had Absorb Bulbs.

Smeargle is shit.
Azu is alright, Belly Drum hasn't been good since Crystal though. What attacking moves are you running?
Chesnaught is not nearly fast enough to benefit from scarf.
Volcarona is solid.
Avalugg doesn't benefit at all from Assault Vest. Big part of Pokemon is playing up your mon's strengths, not trying to fix all their weaknesses. I also don't like Pokemon weak to Rocks as spinners, but that's just a person preference.
Spooky sword is good.

It's a start. It's not terrible but it could use some work. What are common things you lose to?

Holy fucking shit OP you suck. Anyone who's not a retard and doesn't use things like Ledian can easily break 1600.

I just broke 1800 for the first time yesterday and I was using freaking Medicham as my mega. It wrecks shit up though but everyone on /vp/ seems to hate it.

If someone leads with Breloom, Smeargle is pretty much done. I can usually only get muh pebbles up if he goes for Mach Punch the first time, and if he goes for Bullet Seed I'm done. Also, Smogonbird screws me over.

Belly Drum is actually really good on Azumarill. It has a strong priority move and unlike Linoone it can force switches. You can even give it a Splash Plate to bluff a Choice set until it's time to sweep.

Belly Drum Slurpuff, on the other hand...

It says a lot that of all of NU's Rapid Spinners, Spinda is the only fully-evolved one that's not weak to rocks.

It's niche is shredding walls and defensive cores. Everyone on /vp/ seems to hate on it.

It's so fun to use though. Usually capable of OHKOing all of the opposing team, only problem is getting it out safely.

I know, that's why I compared Azumarill to it. Its ExtremeSpeed is actually more powerful than Azumarill's Aqua Jet, but it's NU because it will never get a chance to use Belly Drum without a ton of support. Whereas Azumarill can scare some Pokemon off and get a free turn to boost.

That's why I say Smeargle is shit. It's a liability after turn 2. You're 5v6ing yourself. There's absolutely no reason in this day and age to need a Smeargle, especially with Deo-S and Deo-D are still around, which have far more usefulness than Smeargle does.
