-Defensively it got a massive buff by the fact that Ghosts are now the premier attacking type and so little other than Dark resists it.
-The fairies did more to remove fighting attacks than anything else, which dark types love.
-Dark is no longer resisted by steel, buffing the shit out of it as an offensive type.
-Knock Off is a god tier attack now.
-Fairy types aren't all that common, and even if they are around, next to none of them are physically bulky, which Dark types are predominantly Physical attackers.
-Sucker Punch fits right in on this gen of priority attacks ruling
Anyone who thinks dark is better off this gen is assinine
