I know you also get points for how many super effective moves you land, and how many NVE moves you yourself are hit with.

I'm pretty sure that you also get points based on how many turns it takes you to complete a battle, so that Cresselia stall might have ruined your chances.

Keep trying - luck is a big part of it. I had one match where I faced two all-legendary trio teams in a row (One was Kami trio, the other I can't really remember), and I got crushed, but the next game I didn't even see any pseudo-legends and I got master rank. Keep trying, OP.

I ran a rain team, I got one mon killed on my 4th battle, and still scored 6400ish.
But I think what helped me is that every poke was almost at full health by the end of each battle.
