2 days before pokebank goes live. I am having to transfer all of my pokemon from my r4 to a legit black 2 cartridge.

I have a full pokedex (649) plus all of my teams.. so about 700 pokes total.. trading over 1 by 1.......

i really wish there was a faster way of doing this.

from what i understand, yes, because the 3ds won't "recognize" the r4 as a pokemon cart.

and in my case, i have the old r4ds, which wont even work on the 3ds at all.

You could do it faster but you'd need an NDS adapter plus, but if you dont have one, likelyhood of getting one for the release date of pokebank is slim to none.
If you did you could just copy the R4 save to the legit cart

You can do what I'm doing, and back up your legitimate cart's sav, dump your rom's Pokemon in said sav (Pokesav has a nice feature that lets you save/load entire boxes) then send the sav back down to the cart.
Use smallftpd and savegame_manager, make sure you don't have anything in slot 2. Also, if you need it, Pokecheck has a tool that lets you import gen 4 pkm files and turns them into gen 5 ones. I think it fucks up the hatch location data for "hatched" Pokemon though.

i actually tried to go this route with savsender, and also smallftp/savgame-manager. For some reason, it wouldn't connect to the ftp.

explain how these are fake? because they're on a rom instead of a cart? because they trade over to the cart just fine.

the only issue i can forsee in doing this is that half of my nicknamed pokes wont be transferable because of the bullshit nickname censors on gen 6. Conner the smeargle won't be allowed to transfer, neither will spike the rotom, or hell the houndoom.

I got really lucky and encounter a couple shinys too.

pretty much yeah. poketransfer only works with gen 5 games

I'm in the same boat but I think I'll just leave my old mon where they are ;_;. Good-bye shiny modest Starmie with amazing IVs, I wish things could be different but I can't just can't get myself to buy the pile-of-shit generation.

I wanted to transfer some pokemon from my old Sapphire game, but I realized that I need to beat the elite 4 before I can move them over to gen 4. My team is too underleveled to challenge them and grinding a few levels on a pokemon takes 45 minutes

Holy fuck grinding levels is next to impossible, there's gotta be a faster way to do this
