Was this an official tourney? As in, an official VGC event? Because if it is and he's trying to pull that shit you should call TCPi or whoever is charge of these things. He can't do that shit.

Check that properly then because if it is an official VGC tournament then he absolutely can't do that. VGC rules are set on stone, no one in charge of a certain location can change them according to his whims.

It looks like they charge a fee of registration though. Are they allowed to do that? I can't find if they can or not in the pokemon website.

Shinies have a longer animation when switching in. Running the clock using shinies among other things really messed up things last tournament. So they're removing them. When a 1/8000 chance starts giving people access to tactics other players can't exploit equally it becomes a problem.

Nah man, i spent a lot of time breeding them for at least 5 IVs and hoping they had 31 in Atk/Sp Atk/Speed, with the natures i wanted (Modest and Adamant), shiny Milotic was a surprise, since i was mainly breeding for a shiny Haxorus and a good Milotic, and both were a bitch to get since my autistic self wanted both to be female.

To much work wasted to just pokegen a non-shiny pair, i did train a Lilligant later and sweeped 2 of them just to spite them.

Official tournaments are doubles. Between weather messages, leftovers recovery messages and switching and taking the full allowed time every turn, 30 minutes runs out pretty fast.

Granted the real problem is that time stalling is viable at all, but as it stands now people with lucky shinies are able to run the clock more effectively than people without them.
