There is a 3 day window that started yesterday where if you have any of the starters, you can basically get what you want barring Pokebank legendaries. I have 2 boxes full of 5 IV pokemon, just from trading the eugenic rejects of the other starters. Get on this now while you can, because there will never another opportunity like this until next gen. Once the 27th hits, it's gonna be real tough to get stuff since more people will have pokebank.

I used the starters as currency to trade for anything I needed to fill my dex. The only thing I'm missing now is Articuno and Zapdos. I wanted to get it done so I could get the egg charm.

I played all the previous games. I have all the Pokemon I want to bring over, and any 5V Gen 6 Pokemon that I don't already have can be obtained extremely easily when I transfer my 6V Dittos. I also already have a box full of the XY Legendaries after trading some breeding rejects.

What could I possibly want?

It still takes time you idiot. You can use 6 IV dittos all you want, but unless RNG likes you, you will need to swap out parents. Destiny Knot passes the 5 IVs from a combination of either parent, so if you have shitty pokemon that you are breeding with the ditto, it's still gonna take a while.

I managed to snag a PokeBank starter early and distributed a box full of them to /vp/. People were just giving me shinies and 4/5 IV Pokemon for something that they probably already have. I kept the 4/5 IVs for myself and traded the shinies for a Japanese Rayquaza, Regigigas, and Latias.

I'm just holding off on X and Y until I finish collecting gen 4 starters/legendaries/whatever

Meh, I did the whole Bank Pre-release trade stuff as a timed "catch 'em all" challenge. Plus, my Living Pok?dex in Gen 5 only has fully evolved forms, so I completed my XY National Dex barring fully evolved Pok?mon. Sitting at 609/718, which will be 718 after I transfer my National Dex. Then I'll have some light breeding to do to have a true Living National Pok?dex.

Heads up, the "caught" symbol on transferred-only mons (ones you have never caught with a KalosMark) will have an ugly pokeball instead of a Kalos Badge. Non-breedables will be forever tainted with this poorly drawn ball until a gen 6 mon is released. No effect on obtaining the Shiny charm, but hideous.

It wasn't all that bad until the last two boxes. Since only box 1 is transferable, arrainging things stole precious transfer time away, and in the end I only had to rely on the GTS for 10 Pokemon, which I got easily. After a bit of the sleep and a few hours of reking an Audino Friend Safari, I have all 718.

I've been doing Japanese run throughs since FR/LG. The Jap ID took about 10 minutes and a spare email addressed based on Kefka Palazzo.
Oh and the following are the only words I know for sure in Japanese, in order of learning:
Mewtwo, Poison, Fire (type), No, Yes
The rest just... "looks familiar" and I remember what attacks do, and what the combined symbols look like.
