Meganium wasn’t very good before, but with it’s Mega Evolution, it is sure to become a great Defensive threat! Grass/Fairy is a phenomenal typing, leaving it with very few weaknesses, despite a glaring 4x weakness to Poison. Regenerator turns Meganium into a Pokemon that is very hard to take down, having instant recovery in a switch is what makes some Pokemon just so good. Meganium has a very great 80/130/135 Defense spread, allowing it to take hits from both sides of the spectrum. The Special Attack boost ensures that Meganium is not a Taunt bait and will hit hard. Here’s the kicker of Mega Meganium, it has a Speed increase! This turns into a very formidable offensive threat as well! Meganium also recieved some new tricks up it’s sleeves! Recover gives Meganium that recovery it’s always needed! Moonblast is a STAB move that really packs a punch! Sleep Powder and Quiver Dance form a breathtaking combination, making Mega Meganium a force of destruction after a boost, while you can’t do anything while you sleep. Mega Meganium is a very formidable contender, going from the depths of NU, all the way up to the greatness that is OU! However, Meganium comes with a key flaw - a Talonflame weakness. Leaving it weak to its Priority Brave Birds, while Talonflame resists Meganium’s STAB moves. However, 252/252+ can survive one Choice Band 252+ Brave Bird from Talonflame, but it cannot switch in on it. Mega Meganium has certain flaws, but it certainly is a force to be reckoned with.
