Well guys, I was doing some research about Rating Battles (ranked battles for in-game XY wifi) and I found some startling information. Look carefully at the list of banned participants;
"【Pokémon that Can’t Participate in Rating Battles】
Mewtwo, Mew, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Celebi, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Jirachi, Deoxys, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Phione, Manaphy, Darkrai, Shaymin, Arceus, Victini, Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem, Keldeo, Meloetta, Genesect, Xerneas, Yveltal, Zygarde."

However, the startling information is that Lati@s are NOT banned. Lati@s are 600 BST legendaries who were allowed in VGC tournaments. They would be defeatable, however, this generation they are getting mega stones. Mega-Latias gets a new Dragon/Fairy typing and Multiscale, a truly ridiculous combination. Mega-Latios will get Adaptability Draco Meteor. Basically, if these pokemon are allowed in wifi Rating Battles, ranked matches will be reduced to Mega-Lati@s spam, which is concerning. My question is, is Gamefreak really this retarded?
Disclaimer: I am not up to date on Mega-Lati@s, someone can correct me about their stats if I am wrong.

GF doesn't know how to balance any kind of competitive format or meta game. If they did know what they were doing, most of the Megas we have right now wouldn't exist and you wouldn't have sites like Smogon trying to balance things out. Every team will be forced to run Mega Latios and Latias as well as carry a check for those two Pokemon.

I really like raising pokemon in game but I am starting to lose my enthusiasm because there is no point; smogon rules are much more balanced and GF won't even give us a "normal" 6v6 format to play ranked with. What's the point of even raising an in-game team when I can play simulators?

Every "source" I've found about the Lati@s Megas is unconfirmed, so I'm going to call fake. If Smealum said anything about them I would be inclined to believe him, but the typing change and abilities are always tacked on by sites aggregating the news about the 3 unreleased legendaries.

If the stones are event-only then we can expect them to be banned. If they're not then oh well, Wi-Fi rules are garbage to begin with. This is just the cherry on the shit cake.
