Most grass and bug types will drop to UU unless they have a secondary type that neutralized Smogonbird's Brave Bird.
Anything that required weather to be good (Vaporeon, Toxicroak, Venusaur) will drop.
The weather starters themselves except Hippo and Tyranitar will drop.

Latias was on the verge of UU in Gen 5 and she's definitely dropping now that fairies have been introduced and basically her entire offensive movepool (especially HP Fire) was nerfed.

No. The power creep isn't nearly as big. Even megas can only be used once, the only Gen 6 Pokemon that have a chance at Gen 6 OU are Bravest Bird, Spooky Sword, and Scary Tree. Maybe Naruto Frog, but it's pretty damn overrated.

Not true, further up the ladder they are way less common but so is half of OU. Haxorus isn't a pseudo and has a harder time with them, he's not really superior to any dragon dancer and he's dropped to UU in Gen V once or twice.

What moveset would you run? I'm honestly curious because I've been looking at this core but I don't see how it works without synthesis. Not that guy, but maybe you should think about what your team needs not what you're using for your mega slot. We've had non-mega sweepers for years, if you need a good rapid spinner it's an option to consider. There's no "wasting" when synergy is involved.

Considering the things Weavile hates like Azumarill are likely to be locked up in OU and dark now hits steel neutrally, expect it to see it a lot in UU.

Dugtrio was OU simply because it countered very few threats with Arena trap.

Rotom-H is in a similar situation where he counters very few select threats. If those threats are big enough, then Rotmo-H will rise in usage, and he will be OU.

It's not like Landorus and Landorus-T that were both amazing and both of them had enough usage to coexist in OU, Rotom-H is simply too niche to warrant use over the superior forme.
Rotom-W is a better Talonflame counter anyway and only marginally worse against Aegislash.
It's also not complete setup bait after using Overheat like Rotom-H is.

Sylveon and Florges have better physical bulk when invested. They don't get enough credit. They make decent checks of the dragon hasn't set up yet as they can take and heal off a lot of damage they do. That being said they aren't half bad. Vaporeon is only slighty better also has a worse typing cause Vaporoen doesn't resist Dark/Fighting and an immunity to Dragon which is a huge plus on Sylveon.

Not the guy you replied to, but I think the problem with Avalugg is it's typing. Skarmory has one of the best possible type combinations for a physical wall, while Avalugg is weak to Fighting, Steel, and Rock, and doesn't resist any popular physical types.

If you look at posts above, many people are stating that any Pokemon that loses to Talonflame should be UU. I guess Tyranitar should have been UU Gen 5 because it lost to Scizor, the single most used Pokemon in any format since Mewtwo in Gen 1 Ubers. Mold breaker is good, but like many mold breaker users it's not guaranteed to even hit Rotom because of Volt Switch. Charizard X can't get burned and has two STABs and is already a little faster. Dragonite is bulky and has Multiscale to ensure he can survive setting up. Haxorus isn't bad but he's not exceptional and that's a deal breaker.

Weavile has a chance at making OU, he'll be low on OU usage but OU nonetheless

He still outspeeds everything not named Crobat or Jolteon

He still hits hard as fuck

With the Knock Off buff he not only gets a heavy hitting STAB but can cripple teams as he is the fastest and strongest STAB Knock Off user in the game

He still has access to Swords Dance and even Power up Punch for attack boosting.

With the Steel Nerf he is no longer walled by Jirachi, Metagross and other steel types that kept him out of OU, he is even able to OHKO Shield Mode Aeigslash

With the Defog buff, SR is easy to keep of the field which allows him to come in earlier and sweep.

Give it time people will realize how well Weavile works in OU as a revenge killer and mid game sweeper this Gen.

It's a great revenge killer, but that really is it.
It counters hardly anything. Most fighting types it threatens carry Stone Edge or things like Thunderpunch.
Relatively, it does not hit hard, having below average attack. It only has the capability to OHKO frail sweepers (e.g. 70/70 defenses), and only if it's banded and adamant.

I doubt Hydreigon gets dropped to UU, I don't know if he got any new toys this gen but he can hit steels now without running focus miss. He also got a great ally in fairy type pokes.

Also lel @ Hydreigon falling to UU. Fairies aren't common enough to fuck it over. Even mons that run fairy moves as coverage still run into the risk of being OHKO'd by Hydreigon.

People citing statistics need to remember that it's only been a little over two months since the game's come out and there's still plenty of work left to be done to find out what's truly good and what isn't.

Smogon are notorious for dragging their feet on Deo because a good amount of mods abuse it to death themselves to the point their teams rely on it's piss easy use. In Gen 5 any form of weather that made it into UU caused such a shitstorm I think nobody really wants to entertain it again. Even Abomasnow and Hail would've been on the chopping block too if it didn't happen by coincidence the best Hail mons had all left for OU halfway through Gen 5.

What I'm worried about is there will be people retarded enough to entertain letting some Ubers into UU again rather than a quickban. Kyurem proved hands down anyone who tries the 'lol ice' argument were fucking morons and that even bad Pokemon could be overpowered through simply having purely high stats.

The reworking of the dark type to hit jirachi SE with a sucker punch is pretty strong vs the typical scarf Jirachi, essentially scaring it off and letting you set up an SD on the switch.

Knock off getting a huge buff is also very useful as is the defiant boost from defog ect.

It's hard to predict whether its going to SD or knock off on the switch and is easily protected by using it on a team with a good fairy like clefable or Azumaril.

I actually have, quite extensively on balanced and stall teams.
The problem is that WP misses out on leftovers recovery -- which is crucial because even if you have Recover, you have to go last.

Second, even if we pretend SE hits don't matter (they do eventually pile up and he has little offensive presence, which can allow people to set up on you), status does. Burn and Toxic all wear him down way too quickly and the inability to OHKO first means you have to take that status.

Third, unlike Aegislash, he has no priority and doesn't really "punish" the opponent for using a SE hit. Unlike Dragonite, he can't really tank any one hit and boost his speed. Sure, avalugg has sturdy but how can you sweep at one hp when you are slower?

I mean, at least Lapras has Dragon Dance. Avalugg is not good enough for OU, especially with a WP set.

And I found him underwhelming as a spinner.

Hey, what about Slowbro? With AV he's able to run a great movepool with a wonderful and much-needed boost to his Special Defense.
Base 95/110/120 is nothing to scoff at, especially when having Regenerator as an ability.

AV Slowbro is not that useful.
Uninvested AV Slowbro's special defense is ONLY 10 points higher than fully invested Slowbro's.
And you miss out on a ton of status moves.

Also, it doesn't become 120. It multiplies the stat itself, not the base stat. So 196 * 1.5 = 294.

Choice Specs is the better offensivebro set.
