I don't know what the origional value was, I assume 17 for Unova, but changing that Hex to 18 or 19 in a Gen 5 pokemon, with some other foolery, then moving it into Bank and finally into XY, yielded a Pokemon that looked like it was from Kalos - Pentagon and all.
We at first just assumed 18 = X and 19 = Y, but later found out Hex values 1A through 1D were also Kalos + Pentagon. So that's 6 Kalos IDs and we don't know what any of them mean. Could be redundant, could be for distributions, we don't know.
We guessed at the 18+ numbers based on GenV numbers, but can't actually see what a legit mons actual number is, to know which of those 6 IDs real ones use. But they all give Kalos + Pentagon which is all that matters to a genner.
We ALSO found out that changing the ID to 1E and 1F gave the generic "Faraway Land" message that games have to indicate a game they can trade with that was released AFTER it's conception (IE DPPt said Faraway Land when trading with HGSS). This does not confirm Hoenn, it just confirms a Non-Kalos location that is hardcoded into the bank to be ready.
We tried to push past 1F, but the Spoofed GTS that was used to move the hex edit'd mons into Gen5 to be banked forward did not play nice with those values, and while we had a person help out, we just couldn't figure a way to do it... yet.
