there's too many people accessing the eshop since its christmas and a bunch of people are now new owners of the wii u and 3ds, meaning they have to create a NNID, sync club nintendo, etc and buy games if they have cards. Especially those with the Zelda systems since they have to go onto the eshop to get the game in the first place.
