Do you have no friends?
Why not have your friends choose a color of Pokemon and build a team around it? That's what I'm doing for battling my girlfriend who is pretty bad at the game.

Yeah, my wife, but we don't spend much time together, since we both got jobs and work time for her is 8:00am to 0400:pm when I go from 02:00pm to 10pm

That's not what I said.
The core of the game is just not fun, it's too coinflippy.
There are imbalanced threats that stick out like blaziken, kangaskhan, et al.

I thought such a hypothetical smogon team only existed as a sequential list of the six most overused pokemon in OU, but there's actually people running fucking teams like this.

Yes it is, you just used other Pokemon. The fact of the matter is that Pokemon are not created equal. If you want a metagame that doesn't just boil down to everyone using undoubtedly best Pokemon, you need to play with tiers.

If this team had belonged to a competent player, there's no way I could have beaten it.

I quitted watching wifi battles during fifth gen when there was just the same pokemons battling each other in every video, I wonder if that has changed during this generation. I really doubt it.

The repetition. I don't have the nerves what it takes to use same pokemons. There are over 200 different fully evolved pokemons out there, and lot's of NFEs are usable thanks to everstone, but no.

I need variety, and the game lacks it. It's really the fault of GF.
