There was a third mawile that I hatched, but gave away before I got a picture. I got them on boxes 25,26, and 30, same day.
And I need to update that picture. I gave away another mawile and added a magneton, klang, and skarmory.

Complete the national dex. Shiny charm is the reward, I believe it's excluding event only legendaries and you need to actually catch and not just see them. The description also says "in the wild" so we're under the assumption that it doesn't affect MM

Spinda is one of my favourite pokemon, so I am horde farming Spindas now unitl I find a shiny.

The description of the english version says wild pokemon, it doesn't say that in the jap version so some people are hopeful. No one knows for sure because no one has gone into the coding yet for the numbers. Completing the national dex is a fun achievement on it's own so people like me will do it regardless of how the charm works.

I collect a few boxes of eggs, usually 3 to 5...depending on the number of free boxes. Then I hatch at Lumiose City, inserting a small piece of paper underneath my 3DS' circle pad.

2. Yes, that's basically it. Try using a lead with suction cups ability.

Didn't even really do any hunting, but managed to get a Shiny Trapinch. Was just running around and I had to do a double take to realize he was green. Not the best nature or IVs (only decent, with good SpA, but bad HP and Defense), but I'm still planning on EV training and leveling it, possibly use it against friends for some casual fights.

I think trading is fine as long as you're going to use them for mm projects, we trade to flip languages too and dex completion means shiny and oval charms which are both important to shiny hunts

Soft reseting on the first encounter for shiny articuno on my brother's game. Don't know if its possible to get, (could be shiny locked) but it makes sense that the first encounter would be shiny and would stay until it reaches the sea spirits den.

Sorry to say this, man, but the roaming bird's set when you first start the game. So if you're lucky, it has been shiny from the moment you picked up your starter. That's the most common theory, at least.
