I want to distract myself from the Pokebank debacle and actually discuss some Pokemon.

So anyways, What are solid cores for the Maison? I feel like a Volt Switch/ U-turn core could be super helpful. I'm also still on the fence about investing in bulky attackers or full on sweepers. The Maison seems to fuck me over regardless. What set ups have my fellow anons had the most success with?

Everyone I've known to get past 100 has used Aegislash, Greninja or Talonflame in their team, sometimes two of the three.

I'm trying to get a Doubles or even a Triples team set up for Maison.

I've been fucked multiple times with absolute bunk that I don't know how I could get around.
Quick claw proc ice beam freeze, happening on multiples of my roster.
Hitting myself in confusion every single time. Being confused the exact turn that I switch in order to avoid this happening.
I don't know how you could get around that stuff, even in theory.

That's how I feel and yet people still manage 100+ wins. I always seem to get hard countered on like the 10th battle. Seriously they throw out a perfect counter to any team I make.

You're legitimately bad if you can't get 100+ wins. MegaKangaskhan OHKO's or can set up on nearly every pokemon they'll put against you. Bulky fighting types are the only things that pose a problem but if you just come prepared with a Ghost or Togekiss you will pretty much win every battle

I did a test run in the Institute once, using my in-game Toxicroak and Lapras (Hooray Dry Skin + Surf) for Doubles and got 6150 points. My first try.

Tried it again, and the only reason I didn't get that high was because some faggot pulled out Legendaries that were best against those two. Think it was Latios, Regice, Moltres and something else, didn't get that far. I laughed cause the game had to throw out those to beat me.

Dragonite's purpose is to set up dragon dances to your heart's content and sweep. Lum berry allows you to prevent outrage confusion or scout any will-o-wisps and thunder waves. Locking into Outrage too soon is risky, and sometimes not setting up is better cause you can knock out a Pokemon and possibly set up on the next.

Mega Kangaskhan is there cause she's beefy and hits hard. She also has priority, which really helps clearing out threats. The rest of the set is pretty self explanatory.

Greninja can run either Timid or Hasty, U-Turn can be substituted for HP Fire or anything you'd like. The move set is up to your preference. Scald is nice for burns, Surf for accuracy and power and Hydro Pump for good damage. The focus sash is to assure that you can kill something if they outspeed or have set up something threatening. It's also nice to soak up OHKO moves (saved my ass plenty of times).

I got to a 175 streak with a team almost identical to yours.

The dragonite is the same, except for 252 EV in HP instead of speed and being adamant. Kanga had fake out instead of earthquake. My set for greninja was:
-Scald
-ice beam
-extrassensory
-Dark pulse

Just curious, how many DDs did you set up to outspeed things reliably? I might try that D-nite.

Yeh, you only put into HP if they're level 50 and have odd Base HP.

Because:

((odd number*2)+31+0)/2 then Floored +60 is even, so you need the extra point to make it odd.

35x2=70
+31=101

/2=50.5
Floored=50
+60=110

With 4 hp EVs:
35x2=70
+31=101
+1=102
/2=51
Floored=51
+60=111

For even:
40x2=80
+31=111
+0=111
/2=55.5
Floored=55
+60=115

With 4 HP evs.
40x2=80
+31=111
+1=112
/2=56
Floored=56
+60=116

At level 100, your HP is always odd with no investment if you have max IVs, and is always even if you have Max HP investment.

The 35 is a sample base HP stat.

Basically the formula for HP calculation is:

((Base Stat*2 + IV + EV/4)*level/100)Floor +10 +Level

For Non HP stats, you replace the '+10+level' with '+5 then multiply by nature modifier then floor'.

With one DD it outsped an alakazam.
In my opinion, fake out is free damage, and does 30-50% to anything that doesn't resist it, leaving the rest of the HP in the range where a power up punch can kill.

yeh, once you know those formulas you can calculate stats with ease and use it for investment calcs on the fly.

Base 130 252+ speed investment hits 394 speed. With sticky web, 394 becomes 262.

112 EVs puts Adamant kanga at 264 base speed, Making it have 396 at +1.

So you either use 108 EVs if using web support or use 112 if using Speed Boost Support.

Note that no matter what, kanga can not beat 101 base speed+ Scarfed pokemon, and needs jolly to tie with scarfed ones.

Base 80 scarfed ones can't beat M-Kanga with 112 at +1.

At +2, 112 Adamant will hit 528 Spe. This speed lets it beat anything with a scarf with base 110 speed or less with positive nature max investment, and will beat up to 190 base speed with max investment positive nature.
